The Romance novel “Maybe Someday” is written by famous American author “Colleen Hoover”, and it was originally published on 18 March 2018. The story of novel revolves around two major characters named Sydney Blake, a 22-year-old girl who is a lyrics writer, and Ridge Lawson, a songwriter and guitarist. The way story is told from Sydney point of view and from Ridge’s point of view.
The novel story begins with Sydney, who is living an amazing life, she studies in college, have a stable job and one loving boyfriend, Hunter. Her life changes when she discovers that her boyfriend, Hunter is cheating on her with her roommate, Tori. She breakup with Hunter and ends up leaving her apartment. Sydney was struggling, looking for roommate, her neighbour Ridge invites her in his apartment, she ends up shifting in his apartment.
Ridge’s first impression on Sydney was unforgettable, one day Sydney hears a play of guitar, she follows the sound through her balcony and ends up meeting Ridge, who was playing guitar beautifully in her balcony. She was really impressed by Ridge as he made a great impression on her with his guitar skills. The story now jumps to present where Ridge and Sydney are living together, sharing one apartment. Ridge and Sydney bond grows stronger day after day as they are living together learning about each other musical skills.
There comes new character named Maggie, a very funny and nice character who is a girlfriend of Ridge from last five years. Sydney gets very upset as she saw Maggie because she doesn’t want be like her best friend Tori, who cheated her with her boyfriend. Maggie is suffering from a life-threatening disease due to which she won’t live more than 35 years. This is the reason Ridge don’t want to leave Maggie as he wants to be with her till her last breath. One day, Maggie gets very ill, and Ridge takes her into hospital and started living with her in hospital.
Ridge is a complicated character, it is because on one hand he doesn’t want to breakup with Maggie, he has already told Sydney about her love for Maggie, but on the other hand he started flirting with Sydney from hospital. Ridge messages Sydney from hospital that he feels something special for her, he likes her and love her. Ridge and Sydney are trying not fall for each other but still they ends up falling in love with each other.
One day, Maggie discovers Ridge’s affair with Sydney, she feels very sad and breaks up with him. The major reason of breakup is not Ridge affair but it is because Maggie wants to live an independent life. She knows that she does not have much time to live so she wants live her life freely with her own rules. As the story move forward, we learn the Ridge meets Sydney and tells her about his breakup with Maggie. She feels sad for his breakup but both ends up living together happily.
