The story of novel follows a character named Sky Davis, an adopted girl who lives with her single mother in Texas. Sky’s mother does not believe in electronics, and that is why Sky, and her mother have no cell phones, no Television, and does not use internet. Sky never went to school as she was homeschooled by her mother till now. But now she has convinced her mother to go to public high school. The story begins with Sky going to school for the first time in her life, it is her senior year, she is very nervous as she does not have any friends and don’t know anyone in school.
The second major character of novel is Dean Holder, a high school boy who is coming from his juvenile detention as he was sentenced for beating a gay guy. The story of Hopeless follows a love story Sky Davis and Dean Holder. Throughout the book you will learn everything about Sky and Holder’s relationship like how they came into interaction, their past story and how they fall in love with each other.

The story of book starts with seven years in past, where Quinn was engaged to Ethan. She breaks her relationship with him as she caught him making love with another woman in his apartment. There she came across this guy, Graham who was roaming in front of Ethan’s apartment as his girlfriend was inside of room with Quinn’s ex-fiancé, Ethan.
Six months later, they meet again, comes into contact, and ends up in loving relationships.
