The poem “Nose versus Eyes” question Judiciary system in a humorous way.

The story of poem begins with the disputation of Nose and Eyes over to whom spectacles belongs to. Nose and Eyes are fighting with each other over the proprietorship of Spectacles. They both are claiming that Spectacles belongs to them.

To solve the fight between Nose and Eyes, Tongue becomes lawyer. As our Tongue knows everything about Nose and Eyes, so that’s why she is chosen as a lawyer for them. As well as Ear is chooses as Chief Baron. It means Ear is chooses as Judge for them.

Tongue speaks on behalf of Nose that spectacles are always wear by Nose only. She said it, because it is impossible to wear spectacles without Nose. So Tongue believes real owner of spectacles are undoubtedly Nose.

Our lawyer, Tongue mentioned to Chief Baron, Ear, that spectacles are designed in such way so that it fit on Nose otherwise spectacles can’t fit in face without the help of Nose. If the spectacles’s designed are build for Nose only, it undoubtedly belongs to Nose only.

Our Nose and its lawyer, Tongue asks one thing to everyone, suppose if someone doesn’t have Nose on its face, then where he would wear spectacles. Everybody has Nose on its face and no one born without nose. Therefore, you can’t wear a spectacles without Nose. Here Tongue again proved to everyone that spectacles belongs to Nose only.

With the whole arguments and evidence of Nose and Tongue, it seems like spectacles are made mainly for the Nose only. And the Nose is made for spectacles only. Till now, Chief Baron has hear one side of the story which is from Nose side.

Like a good lawyer, our Tongue looks at eyes and ask them, what you want to say from your side ? Eyes also tells their side of the story but it wasn’t as convincing as Nose side story. It wasn’t convincing because Nose has already mentioned many facts and evidence to the Chief Baron. Eyes said their side of the story but it did not convince anyone.

Our Chief Baron, Ear takes decision that whenever Nose had to wear its spectacles whether it is day or night, eyes had to be shut. Its a useless decision with no point because if there will be no eyes then what’s the point of wearing spectacles.

The court takes the decision on Nose behalf because all the evidence and arguments were in the favour of Nose, although there is no point in wearing spectacles without eyes.

The main theme of poem is that law is blind, even if you are wrong but you have fake evidence and arguments on your favor, you can win the case.
