The poem “Any Woman” tells us about the power of woman in family. A family is nothing without a woman because women hold the family and keep all the member of family together.
The story of poem begins with writer who say women are the pillars of house and as well as they are the arch of the house. If we take pillars and arch away from the house, roof will fall. Here poet mean to say, if we take women away from the family, family will fall. The women are like sunlight of sun which light the earth. Women are like a sunlight which warm the earth.
The children warm their hands with the presence of their mother. Here poet mean to say, if children’s mother is with them, they do not have to do any work. The women are a light for children, and if there would be no women in world, children won’t thrive. The women are the twist which holds everyone together and keep family together. If women stops looking after their family, family will fall.
The women are the house from floor to roof, women decorate the walls of house and spin the curtains warp and woof. The women are the wall against all danger for their children. She become a door of house when high wind and snow arise. In the last line of poem, women request god to not to take her away from her family until her children grows.
